These large bone buttons were hand carved from buffalo bone and come from Burma.

These are designed to be used as buttons, but could also be incorporated into jewellery design projects. I used them to finish large, cord-strung necklaces and once turned a pair into silver mounted earrings by cutting down the ends to a tapered point.
