Very large heavy wood elephants. Hand painted in rich detail, our elephants are full of character and were crafted in India, from solid hard wood (most likely teak), during the 1950's. If you love elephants, you will love these.
Elephants are a symbol of good luck in many cultures. The elephant is associated with Buddha, the Indian god Ganesh and generally symbolises power, wisdom, strength, protection of the home, fertility, long life and all round good luck. When the trunk is up, good fortune will shower upon you. When the trunk is down, wealth will flow into your home.
We have two of these very beautiful elephants. Both were individually painted but are very similar to each other and would look wonderful as a pair.
